Food Network, Talk Shows, Facebook, Pinterest etc. tempt us all day long with scrumptious food.
They show us dishes that look sooooo easy to make but are they really? How many times have you tried to mimic a recipe from social media just to have a total flop, waste of time, ingredients and now your starving.
Here I am going to test how easy the recipes are to make?
Are chef skills required?
Specialty store for ingredients required?
Special tools required?
I'll let you know if it's a Flop or a Flip
I'll let you know if it's a Flop or a Flip
If there is a recipe you've been dying to try but were afraid of going hungry if it failed, maybe a recipe you would like gluten free. Ask me to add it to my list of to try!
According to the Today Show making these recipes will in turn make me overweight.

Tried:
Eat Well Cauliflower Tots |
Tots by Skinny Tastes |
Flip, love them
easy after all the social media hoopla
I had to try them.
I didn't like any of the recipes I saw soooo...
I combined a couple and they came out awesome!!!
My version Cauliflower Tots
Facebook's popular post Slowcooker Beef & Broccoli |
Flip Crockpot Beef & Broccoli
Definitely a flip
no changes needed
but very flexible if you want to change it up
Rachael Ray's Carbonara Pasta |
Definitely A Keeper
Flop Anne Burrells Carbonara
I flopped it really bad I'm sure someone with more Chef skills wouldn't flop. Rachael Rays worked so easily and the risk of flopping it is so slim I'm sticking with Rachael's version.
Read about my trial and error here.
Pioneer Women's Penne with Chicken Thighs |
Flip Pasta with Chicken Thighs
Inspired by The Pioneer Women's Penne with Chicken Thighs ever so slightly tweeked for my own preferences - tweeking was necessary for this recipe to easily succeed.
Flip Emeril Lagasse's Cajun Jambalaya
Love it, it's easy, everyone loves its always a crowd pleaser
